You must have both the screened cap and the filter sponge on your shampoo tank to operate your Kirby Shampooer. These are for the Generation 5, 6, 7 Ultimate G, Diamond Edition and both Sentria models.
This improved suds screen is deeper. (see photo of comparison) The suds screen will stay in the tank much better because of the extra depth. This listing is for just one screen, the last photo is for comparison only.
The screened cap acts like an aerator on your kitchen facet, without it you cannot produce foam. The filter sponge prevents dirt and carpet fibers from getting into your tank and stopping-up the shampoo supply tube, without it, just don't do it. The old style suds cap often pulls off with the hose, and lodges in the hose end, look there before you buy. USPS rates went way up for first class parcels.  For this reason it is important to use a cart to make all purchases. Weights from 1 to 8 US ounces pay the same cost, and from 9 to 32 ounces pay the same.
