Shampoo Tank Valve Repair Kit. Fits G3 through Avalir 2. Sentria Color 300306 Genuine Kirby New Parts Your promise of excellence This Shampoo Tank Valve Repair Kit has a Sentria color knob, but will fit all Generation, Ultimate Generation and Diamond Edition shampoo tanks as well. Sometimes these come with an orange insert on the knob. Disassembly: To remove your old valve you first must pry off the little oval center cover from your valve knob. It has the word Kirby in raised letters on it. Now use a pair of needle nose pliers to release the white valve from the knob. Older models had a label with a screw under it. Remove the label then the screw. Pry the knob up with a flat screwdriver. Remove washer and finger spring. Align the valve stem with slots in tank to remove. (look on bottom of valve to see slots) Remove the white gasket and o-ring from inside the tank opening. Assembly: Place o-ring in tank recess. (From bottom) Install new white gasket. Remove paper to expose self adhesive side. Place valve stem through hole in tank Place finger spring on valve stem. Flat side down. Place washer over valve stem on finger spring washer Lubricate valve stem tabs with shampoo or Kirby gasket lube. Position valve stem to the off position. Note the two slots in the tank will be covered. Look under the tank to see this. Press the knob over the tabs with the arrow pointing to off. Turn tank upside down and press the valve into the knob. Put the new oval cover on the top. Bookmark this listing as I will not send instructions with this part. Take the parts out in order and replace in the same order. I do not remember the order, so you must keep track of how you take it apart.
